Erika and I got our exercise for the day! We biked around my town, after a dinner at DQ. Then, we went down the bike path and went to a market and bought chocolate milk and Blow Pops. Then, we went home right as my mom got home. We've been up ever since watching tayvay and surfingg.

Oh, and Jett [the kitty!] pooped on the couch. Were the seat cushion has some empty space between the arm rest, Jett dug down there and proceeded to act like it was his litterbox. We cleaned it up, and you could neverrr know. =] Hehehe.

My calves are going to eat me tomorrow.

Oh! And I get to have Jett as my teddybear for tonight! Yay! =D

finally, erika meets gael

Erika had her lesson on Gael today. I need to steal her memory card again and take the one video, even though I took 3, and a few pictures to put on here.
The lesson went really well for Erika, I think, but it's still hard transitioning from basically going nowhere yet moving forward somehow with her trainer to a Classical dressage lunge lesson with the one of the best, in my opinion.
On the lunge, she rode Tomi. He was a good boy, and put up with her habit of kicking to get her horse, Donny, to respond. I don't blame her, but with Tomi, you have to "lift" him with your hamstrings. Kinda hard to describe, but you don't need to kick. She's forgiven! =P

Erika's mom actually texted Erika to ask if she would want to fly her out every weekend to be with me and ride with Gael.

This stuff is so deep, with Erika's trainer and her.

So Erika's flight is delayed an hour. She'll land at 11pm, meaning she'll take off at 9:55pm. Better late than never!

And I need to pee and brush my hair. And reapply make-up that I attempted to up to put on when the power was out and couldn't seee.

where has the day been?

Talking to Erika on the phone right now, and she's in the airporttt! Her plane is going to be like, a minimum of an hour late. Grrreat. Mom's cleaning like mad, just vacuuming really.
But the power went out around 2pm today. And so my mom and brother and I went out to Arby's for some food, and then Half Price Books for some books. My brother found Secret Agent Barbie, and so OF COURSE we had to buy it. =D We love that game. I'm like, half way done with it now, with assistance from Al. So when we got home around 6pm, the power was back, thank God.
I've just been organizing and cleaning up and doing nothing all day. Fun!

Let's just say that I absolutely love this e-mail...

Dr. Buhl did another ultrasound as well as flex test on "Deco". He passed all with flying colors. Dr. Buhl was very happy to see how well he healed.

Therefore, he can go back to work and is not limited in the scope of what he can do. This means he can still be an event horse.

I will continue to ride him - walking, add 5 min trot and increase the trot work. He can be longed but we have to build him back up to a fitness level.

By the way, the secrete to loading him is to let him load himself. He doesn't like anyone in front of him.

Mom wants to leave the house at 3pm so we are there by 3:30pm or so. Dad thinks we are leaving at 3:15pm. Oh, Father. Our first flight is to JFK at around 5pm, and then we have a 50 minutes layover. Our luggage might not make it to Edinburgh when we fly in, so it'll come with the next flight then. That means we have kick awesome little rolling back packs [at least I do] that are carrying everything including a full change of clothes! WHOO!

the official districts update

So, only individual events today.
FLY; Second place baby! 36.00 secs, so I took .4 off of my fastest time of the year! PERSONAL BEST! So totally gonna make Champs! =]
BREAST; Fourth place! 43.81 secs. I don't even know what my times are for breast, since I'm sorta focusing on fly more. And the computers have messed up my times. Oh well! Still going to probably make Champs, hopefully!
The meet ran really fast, in about 2 hours! Which was exciting.
I'm already in my pajammers, so no stopping this train!

Yikes. I'm starting to feel nervous. I didn't really do anything too strenuous today in summer gym, WHICH ENDS TOMORROW MIGHT I ADD. I'm pretty sure that there aren't any relays in Districts, and that they automatically qualify, but I could be wrong.
And my nap idea? Probably gonna totally backfire.
Right now, sitting on my bed. Mom's gonna be home in 6 minutes or so, and I need to go turn the desktop on and print out one of her emails. Here she comes up the driveway. Blehhh. Done with this update!

We went on the river today for summer gym today...in canoes. =]
So much fun. Not so much fun when you are in the back of the canoe telling the two other people what to do and being serious and the others not being and you out muscling the other two people. Whew.

My I need to get to bed. I have to wake up at 7:15am, and then go to gym at 7:50am. Get home 12:10pm then REST. I'm thinking nap? Scratch that; shower then nap. Then DISTRICTS at 6pm? Or 5pm. I think we need to leave at 5pm, for warmups and etc.
Then crash and wake up and repeat, but without the stressfulness of having to think about not tiring yourself out so you can do well to swim to qualify for CHAMPS!






I really hope I don't qualify in fly. Oh darn, I said it.

Meet today! Against some country club. I forgett.
Did horribly, but still I felt really good about it.
Medley was okay, my fly was bad. And our backstroker wasn't up to her usual self. And eh.
I was in last for fly, out of three. Third to second place by a hand, and third to first place by a stroke. Added a second or two. Eh.
Second in breast. Added two seconds. The girl I was against was AMAZING. Same girl I lost to in fly. Beat two other girls though. By a ton.
FREE RELAY. homg. Amazing stuff. Lapped the other relay that we were against, and TIED the kickawesome 11-12 girl's relay. 2:18:00. Did I mention that none of the girls on our relay swim year round, and don't even go to practice consistently? AND that the other girl's relay has all four girls that swim all year round and win everything individually, so together they are AMAZINGG? Oh, well I guess I forgot. =]

Now I'm all hyper because of the happy excersize feeling I get. And left over adrenaline!

Went to the barn around 12:40pm, and talked with Michele for a little. She tacked up Lex while I got Tom ready. I had a lunge lesson on Tom, and it was pretty good! He was being his usual quirky self, especially when I was turned loose. I couldn't get a halt, but I could get a trot to walk downward. It was annoying. When I was off the lunge line, Michele was working her mare, Holly. Gael got on Tom to tune him up. And he was in fact, a total snot.
I got on Holly, who was also being pretty bad. But then again, I had to switch from Tom, who you can't touch, and then to Holly, who you were all over. So, it was only okay on her. She had a really nice trot and canter, really comfy! =]
My pony was really good too, especially over the walk poles! Everything's going really well with Decers!

Time for breakfasttt. =] I'm getting yelled at because Nana & Gramp think I'm still "waking up" or whatever. I'll be a good girl and go downstairs.

Hopefully it'll go like last time, really well, and I can ride the old boy around without Gael. Quirky old Tom. Gotta love him though, because of everything he teaches you.

Fun night tonight! Nana and I were about to do something on her laptop, when we heard the fireworks going off. It was about 6 minutes earlier than we thought it would be, so Nana and I walked to the end of the sidewalk on this one street to try and get a better view of the fireworks. There were so many trees in the way, that we hopped in a car, left Gramp behind, and drove around with our faces out the open windows the whole time watching the fireworks as we tried to find a place to park. Or stall, rather. We found a place, and were watching for a good 10 minutes, I’d say. We could only see the really high up stuff, but oh well! Still fun.

Time to sleeeep. I was supposed to be sleeping for the past like, two hours or more. Eh, oh well. I will survive somehow. Hopefully. =]

i hate anyone that hates trees

So in other words, I hate the people across the street. They are new to the neighborhood, and moved into a pretty dumpy house, so I applaud them for that. They are having pretty heavy tree work, but not removal. I think just intense branch removal. But OHMYGOD. The noises are SO ANNOYING. I'd rather listen to the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song on repeat for 5 hours than listen to them.
AND, it's Saturday?! AND it's the Fourth of July! Why are there people even WORKING?!
Ugh. I think I should go hug the trees in my yard just in case.
